Gunfire near 24th and Douglas streets on Monday afternoon prompted the lockdown of Omaha Central High.
Police arrived on the scene to find a victim identified as 26-year-old Emmanuel Deng with a graze wound. He told officers that three men armed with guns approached him and started shooting at him.
Deng told police that he grabbed one of the suspects and knocked him to the ground causing him to drop his gun.
The suspects fled in different directions. Police located one of them near 20th and Dodge with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital but police say his injuries were not life-threatening.
Deng was not hospitalized.
