Police are investigating a pair of drive-by shootings involving BB or pellet guns that wounded two people in Omaha Thursday afternoon.

The first occurred outside of the Saddle Creek Laundry at North Saddle Creek Road and Charles Street just before 3 p.m. where the victim was wounded in the head and hand.

Minutes later, a newspaper carrier was shot in the leg by two men in a maroon van at 52nd and Evans. “You know if the paper deliverer can get shot, so can an old man like my grandpa, so can young children that live across the street,” said a boy who saw the victim running down the street after the shooting.
