A man who was allegedly driving a stolen car apparently made it easy for authorities to arrest him Friday. Actually, he wasn’t driving. He was sleeping in the car.
Cass County, Nebraska Sheriff William C. Brueggemann says a deputy on patrol in the Weeping Water area saw something unusual about 4 a.m. There was a man who appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat of a 2005 Dodge Magnum.
The deputy wanted to make sure the man was okay. During his investigation, it was discovered that the car had been stolen out of the Omaha area. The man snoozing behind the wheel, 20-year-old Colten F. Hensely-Robertson, was arrested for possessing a stolen car. Although he’s from Wichita, Kansas, the man has been living in the Weeping Water area.
