Sheriff's Candidate To Face Fewer Charges

A former candidate for Cass County, Nebraska Sheriff will face fewer charges in court.

Donnie Brennan had been charged with three felony counts. All related to his unsuccessful run for sheriff. Brennan had been accused of living outside the county but filing as if he were a resident. Brennan's Attorney James Martin Davis said a judge dismissed a charge of false candidate filing and false political accountability statement.

Brennan still faces arraignment for a nonresident voting charge later this month.
