A Louisville man accused of date rape is awaiting trial. 18-year-old Nathan Breault is in Cass County Jail.
The Cassgram reports Breault is charged with 1st degree sexual assault, forcible, a Class II Felony, in connection with a September incident. Cass County Attorney Nathan Cox said the alleged offense is in the date rape category.
Breault waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Cass County Court and entered a not guilty plea during his recent arraignment in Cass County District Court.
Bond is set at $300,000. Cox said he requested the high bond because he believes Breault poses “a danger to the community.”
The trial has been set for the February 20th docket.
