People near North Platte have plenty of clean-up ahead after two tornadoes touched down Sunday night.

On Monday morning the National Weather Service estimated one of the tornadoes was an estimated EF-2, meaning winds ranged from 111–135 mph.

Several homeowners have long repairs ahead of them, including Lincoln County resident Dan Chase who came home to a house with no roof. Winds were strong enough to pick up his boat and move it into his barn.

Lincoln County's Emergency Manager says 15 cars were toppled at Union Pacific's railroad yard.

The same system traveled north and struck three houses.

At this point, the area's major provider, Dawson Public Power, says it's unclear how many people are without power.

The Red Cross has set up a shelter for victims.
