Lincoln Police are investigating several shots fired into a house.

Just after 11:00 Monday night, police were called to the area of 24th and Holdrege for reports of shots fired.

According to Captain Michon Morrow, officers contacted a residence in the 1300 block of North 24th and they denied any problem.

Morrow said officers contacted them a second time and they admitted their house had been hit by gunfire.

A broken sliding glass door and several bullet holes were discovered on the outside of the house.

Morrow said some bullets traveled through the exterior and then interior walls as well. No injuries were reported.

Police did find bullet casings in the area according to Morrow.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police or CrimeStoppers.
