Serious injury accidcent this morning in Cass County. The Cassgram reports Weeping Water, Manley and Elmwood fire and rescue volunteers were called to Highway 50 north of the Weeping Water spur at 5:45am this morning. Cass County sheriff’s deputies and a trooper from the Nebraska State Patrol also responded to investigate the two-vehicle crash.
A Jaws of Life unit was needed for extrication.
One male was transported to the trauma center by LifeNet helicopter which landed at 6:25am and took off from the scene at 6:53am. Another male was transported by rescue squad with injuries coded as non-life threatening.
