Accident details released on the 5:30am Tuesday crash that hospitalized one person.
When deputies arrived on scene at 2000 Murray Road, they found that a 1990 Ford Ranger, driven by Michael J. Stonerook, 40, of the Beaver Lake area, had been traveling west when it came over a hill and struck a 2002 Suzuki SUV driven by Calvin Rouseau, 53, of Beaver Lake, said Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann. Rouseau had been backing out of a driveway onto Murray Road when the impact occurred.
The Jaws of Life were used to extricate Rouseau. LifeNet took him to Creighton University Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition Tuesday afternoon.
Both vehicles were a total loss due. Sheriff's deputies are investigating the accident further to see if any citations will be issued.
