The Nebraska State Patrol is describing the month of September as deadly for Nebraska motorcyclists. Seven people were killed while riding motorcycles. Three of those happened at the end of the month.
So far in 2011, Nebraska has recorded 133 fatalities on the road. Twenty of those involved motorcycles. IN all of 2010, 14 motorcyclists were killed. In 2009, it was 15.
The NSP is encouraging all motorists to be aware of the need for save travel while operating a motorcycle or sharing the road with a motorcycle.
