Flags bearing the name of each victim in the September 11, 2001 terrorists attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon will be on display at Omaha's Memorial Park beginning September 6, 2013.
Each flag will include the person's name, age, and location of where they died along with short personal information of that person.
In addition, the flags of those who have a Nebraska Connection are placed in a special Nebraska Connections circle with additional information provided about each person for the ten (10) Nebraska families who lost a loved one on that fateful day.
This event is organized by Lynn Castrianno in memory of her brother, Leonard Castrianno and everyone else who died on that fateful day.
The flags will be displayed at Memorial Park from September 6th – September 15th.
The Irvington Fire Department will display a steel beam artifact from the North Tower of the World Trade Center during the evenings.
