The U.S. Senior Open gets underway at the Omaha Country Club in just over three weeks. But the trophy is already in Omaha.
On Friday over the lunch hour, the Senior Open trophy was on display at the Pepperjax Grill at 74th and Pacific.
The shiny cup lists all the names of the Senior Open winners dating back to the first year in 1980.
The trophy will be touring around Omaha to all the Pepperjax locations over the next week. The event itself begins July 8th.
“It's going to showcase Omaha and what Omaha has to offer, said Mark Burrus, Vice President of Operations for Pepperjax Grill. “And Pepperjax Grill originated here in Omaha. So we're excited to be part of it.”
Pepperjacks is hosting the trophy because they are helping feed volunteers during the tournament.
