Omaha’s Terence Crawford got a world class send off Friday. He is preparing to fight in the WBO Lightweight Championship in Glasgow, Scotland.
Dozens of family and friends turned out to give the boxer well-wishes as he attempts to win Omaha's first world championship in boxing.
Crawford grew up training at CW Boxing in Omaha, but more recently has been training in Colorado.
He says he’s ready.
“It's always been my dream. I never wanted to go to the Olympics or get the gold medal. I always wanted to be a world champion, so now that it's here, I'm just ready for it," Crawford said.
The match is on March 1st and will be Crawford's first 12-round fight.
