Senator Calls For State Education Changes

He led the charge to cut the number of people serving on the OPS board and now Nebraska state Sen. Scott Lautenbaugh wants changes in the public school system.

He’s announced a new education reform plan he'll push in the next legislative session. It includes grading schools on performance and providing merit pay for success. Tougher graduation requirements are also on the list along with ending all tenure systems for school administrators.
