Just after 8:30 Thursday evening a Nebraska State Trooper made a surprise find when he stopped a Ford rental truck.
The trooper stopped an eastbound 2005 Ford rental truck and a 2010 Volkswagen for Failure to Signal at the Utica Interchange on I-80 in Seward County.
The driver of the rental truck gave consent to search the vehicle.
When the trooper looked inside he found just under 200 pounds of marijuana. The trooper also seized 51 grams of heroin.
The drugs located in the cargo area of the rental truck were sealed in plastic and hidden within the box springs of several mattresses.
The driver of the rental truck, 21-year-old Luis Vargas Trujillo, of Dinuba, California, and a passenger in the rental truck, 31-year-old America A. Maravilla , of Sanger, California were lodged in the Seward County Corrections each on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Heroin.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 26-year-old Maurizio Aguilar, of Pixley, California, was also lodged in the Seward County Corrections on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Heroin.
