Search For Possible Accident Victim Ends With Ticket

An Omaha man reported his 22 year old girlfriend had called him screaming. She claimed to have been in an accident somewhere along the interstate in Omaha. The cell phone then went dead.

That triggered a search by Ralston officers and the Omaha police helicopter through much of the night. Friday morning Ralston police called her phone again and this time she answered. The woman was fine and in Iowa.

After coming into Ralston police headquarters the woman was cited for misdemeanor false reporting.
