Scientists are confirming what chocolate lovers have known all their lives: the flavor of some foods might help boost people's emotions.
Other studies have established that comfort foods like chocolate, strawberries and food with Omega-3 fatty acids can have positive effects on mood.
Now researchers say the effect may be in the flavors of such foods, which are chemically similar to Valproic acid which is prescribed as a mood-stabilizing drug.
Scientists say tea, raspberries and blueberries may also have this effect.
