An earlier out for the students in the Louisville Public School District.
The Cassgram reportsThe Board of Education this week approved May 18, 2012, as the last day of school for students. Before the action, the last student day had been the 22nd.
Superintendent Greg Shepard explains the district is carpeting the entire elementary this summer and will have a three week window beginning May 24th for the job. “By ending on Friday the 18th, we will have the weekend to remove temporary walls and all classroom furniture located on carpet space. It will be a huge undertaking, but one that will be appreciated upon completion,” said Shepard.
Taking no snow days this school year helped in making the decision.
