Scholarship Nominations Open For Young Volunteers

Only two weeks remain to nominate young volunteers for the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. Kids ages six to 18 who have made a positive impact on their communities can be awarded scholarships and prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships.

Volunteers ages six to 18 can be nominated.

Nominations are accepted through March 14, and nominators must be 21 years or older.

Kohl’s will reward more than 2,300 kids nationwide on the store, regional and national levels for their volunteer efforts with nearly $400,000 in scholarships and prizes.

Store Winners: Two nominees from each of the more than 1,100 Kohl’s stores nationwide will win a $50 Kohl’s gift card.

Regional Winners: Nearly 200 of the store winners will win regional scholarships worth $1,000 toward higher education.

National Winners: Ten of the regional winners will receive the national award of a total of $10,000 in scholarships for higher education, and Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.

WHEN: Nomination period began January 31, 2014. Nominations are accepted through March 14, 2014.
