A Saturday night crowd drew the attention of Omaha police and culminated in alcohol citations for more than 30 juveniles and a couple of adults.
Officers were alerted to the crowd that had gathered at a house near 122nd & Farnam around 11:30 Saturday night. More than 20 vehicles were parked in the street. Officers say juveniles were drinking in cars and in the house.
Police say they spoke to the homeowner and then found more than 60 juveniles in the basement. There were open containers of alcoholic beverages.
Thirty-two juveniles were cited for Minor in Possession, the two adult homeowners, 48-year-old Jeffrey Kirshenbaum and 49-year-old Sharon Kirshenbaum, were cited for procuring alcohol for minors. Two juveniles were cited for obstructing. All of the juveniles were released to parents.
