Santa Claus made a stop in Omaha Thursday morning, dropping in on patients at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. For the 20th year, Santa arrived by helicopter while the reindeer rested up for Christmas Eve.
The United States Marines are again teaming up with Santa to carry on another tradition, helping distribute toys through the Toys for Tots program. The Marines will be out collecting toys December 10th through the 14th.
“We're really looking for toys for younger kids age 0 through 2 and we have a big gap in our girls 9 through 11,” said Marine Sgt. Anthoney Coates.
The Toys for Tots program hopes to help 21,000 children in Nebraska and Council Bluffs this year.
