A sign of spring is in the air. Fort Kearny State Historical Park and Recreation Area has made arrangements to help people view the migration of sandhill cranes.
The visitor center will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Saturday through April 7th. Staff members will be available to answer questions and direct visitors to viewing areas.
One popular viewing location is the hike-bike bridge over the Platte River at the recreation area. The bridge is a third of a mile from the parking area.
