The announcement came on Monday, the day that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was reducing water releases from Gavins Point Dam from 155,000 cubic feet per second to 150,000 cfs. It had been as high as 160,000 cfs.

The Missouri River was recorded at 34.99 feet at 6am Monday. That’s 5.99 feet above flood stage. The forecast is that the river will slowly receded through August 14 to 34.6 feet.
