For those stuck outside in the hot weather, there is some relief available.
The Salvation Army is opening up cooling stations across the metro.
At the Kroc Center for example, you can get a cold drink, and play games like pool.
The charity wants to help everyone stay safe from the heat this summer.
"A lot of times, our bodies just can't take the intense heat so we want to provide something that those people who don't have a place can come and cool off," says Major Cathy Thielke, at the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
The Kroc Center, North Corps, Lied Renaissance, and Council Bluffs locations will open their doors each time temperatures reach 90 degrees for three consecutive days.
