The Salvation Army is inching closer to its Tree of Lights campaign goal for the year but donations are still trailing behind last year's rate.
Through December 27, the campaign had raised a total of $2,119,041. That's 71% percent of the $3 million goal and it's 9% behind the 2012 campaign. The Salvation Army served approximately 200,000 people in Omaha this year.
There is still time to support the Tree of Lights campaign with a year-end gift. The campaign has been extended to January 15, 2014.
If you'd like to pitch-in, there are several ways to do so.
