Salvation Army Begins Winter Night Watch Program

The Salvation Army is kicking off their Winter Night Watch Program.

It’s their 25th year. Volunteers drive around in a truck, giving a hot meal to those in need. They also give out coats, gloves, and blankets which can be very important in the cold Nebraska winters.

“I’ve been doing this about three years and tonight is nice out, but Wednesday it’s going to be freezing cold, so we pass out coats as well as food and there’s no reason for anyone to go hungry,” said volunteer Rita Clark.

The program runs Monday through Friday until February 28th.
