People living in a Nebraska community are being told their water needed chlorination for a couple of weeks. But the quality of water is back to a high standard in Yutan, Nebraska according to city administrator Gary Duncan.
Duncan said five locations were tested around town last month. One site showed a fraction of coliform. Though residents were not required to boil water, Duncan said the city water was chlorinated. Monday all 456 customers of the Yutan water system were notified of the additional safety measure.
Duncan said the chlorination of the water is no longer needed. He said some residents noticed a slight taste but that should be gone very soon if not already.
