Chest pains, a concerned friend and a misunderstanding led to a chase down Dodge Street in the middle of the day on Wednesday.
Officers feared there was an abduction, but it was simply a rush to the hospital. Police and paramedics caught up to the vehicle in the Dundee area after the rush to the hospital started near 132nd and Dodge.
After the driver was pulled over, the passenger was taken to the hospital.
Officers said there were no citations handed out and there were no injuries or property damage associated with the incident. Police have not released the identity or condition of the person transported to the hospital.
