A 20-year-old man was arrested, allegedly with stolen items in his possession.
Scott Tingelhoff, Saunders County Attorney, reports Kenton Points was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking, a class III Felony, which has a maximum sentence of up to 20 years imprisonment, and a Contributing to a Minor, a class I Misdemeanor, which has a maximum sentence of up to 1 year imprisonment. He is scheduled to appear in the Saunders County Court for a Preliminary Hearing on October 23, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.
An officer with the Wahoo Police Department made a routine traffic stop and upon contact it was determined that the driver did not possess a Drivers License and did not have proof of insurance. It was determined that Kenton Points was the driver.
Upon further investigation, several items relating to reported auto thefts in the area were discovered in the vehicle. Points lives in Wahoo.
