Accident Victim Uses Cell Phone

One vehicle rollover this morning and a cell phone may have helped save the driver.

Murray and Plattsmouth fire and rescue units responded to the area of Rock Bluff Road and 27th Avenue after a 6:15am 911 call from the motorist involved in the crash.

The Cassgram reports the male party told law enforcement center dispatchers he had suffered a head injury and he was in contact with them by cell phone as sheriff’s deputies and rescue responders were locating the vehicle in the darkness.

The pickup was upside down in a ditch north of the Beaver Lake dam. The individual was transported to a hospital trauma center in Omaha.
