Bronco Billy's farm, just North East of Council Bluffs, is always full of equestrians Thursday evening. People come out to compete in barrel racing and timed pole events.
But Thursday, June 6th, a 16 year old girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition after falling off her horse.
The teen was barrel racing, which is a timed event on horseback. The horse and rider must circle around three barrels, normally running at full speed.
Witnesses said the girl's horse tripped, causing her to fall to the ground.
The girl's family said she sustained a mild concussion.
