A pair of suspect wanted in an armed robbery in Ashland first spotted just south of Cass County according to the Cassgram.
Local law enforcement officers were advised early Friday morning via an “attention all units” broadcast of a white small pickup with Arkansas plates that was likely en route back to Arkansas. There was one male and one female in the vehicle and descriptions of possible items in their possession, including a knife. They are suspects in the robbery at a residence of acquaintances in Ashland about 5:30 that morning.
A Nebraska State Patrol trooper observed the suspect vehicle six miles north of Nebraska City traveling southbound on Highway 75. The Otoe County Sheriff’s Department and Nebraska City Police Department assisted in the arrest of the 57-year-old male and 40-year-old female on the north edge of Nebraska City near 11th Street and 5th Avenue. Both individuals gave Searcy, Arkansas addresses.
