Omaha man escapes serious injury in a motorcycle accident Wednesday evening. The 38-year-old said he was run off the road in the area of East Bay Road and Beach Road north of Plattsmouth.
The Cassgram reports that upon arrival about 7:30pm, sheriff’s deputies found the driver of the motorcycle, Chad E. Pelley, had only minor injuries. He sustained a few scrapes from sliding along the roadway.
He told the deputies he was traveling west on East Bay Road near Beach Road when a vehicle traveling east was in his lane of travel. He stated he swerved to avoid a head-on collision and dumped his bike, sliding off the roadway into the ditch. The motorcycle sustained heavy damage. A description of the suspect vehicle was not obtained.
