Retail sales in June were lower than last year’s totals south of the Metro. The Nebraska Department of Revenue’s Net Taxable Sales Report, comparing June 2013 to June 2012, shows Cass County with an 8.2% decrease to $10,516,092. In the Plattsmouth city limits, June sales were down 6.9% to $4,899,770.
(The May ’13 report had Cass County with a 1.7% sales decrease and Plattsmouth experienced a 1.3% decrease over a year earlier.)
The Cassgram reports Statewide, June 2013 sales were 3.5% higher than in 2012.

---The NDR’s June Net Taxable Motor Vehicle Sales Report said Cass County was down 0.8% when compared to the same month in 2012. Taxable motor vehicle sales totaled $4,819,998.
Statewide vehicle sales were down 2.6%.
