Local retail sales in July higher than last year. The Cassgram reports the Nebraska Department of Revenue’s Net Taxable Sales Report, comparing July 2013 to July 2012, shows Cass County with a 3% increase to $10,456,392. In the Plattsmouth city limits, July sales were up 2.4% to $4,812,671.
(The June ’13 report had Cass County with an 8.2% sales decrease and Plattsmouth experienced a 6.9% decrease over a year earlier.)
Statewide, July 2013 sales were 6.1% higher than in 2012.

---The NDR’s July Net Taxable Motor Vehicle Sales Report said Cass County was up 10.8% when compared to the same month in 2012. Taxable motor vehicle sales totaled $5,168,358.
Statewide vehicle sales were up 12.9%.
