Retail sales in small communities show improvement.
The local November sales numbers were higher when compared to a year earlier according to the Cassgram
The Nebraska Department of Revenue’s Net Taxable Sales Report, comparing November 2012 to November 2011, shows Cass County with a 3.2% increase to $7,901,119. In the Plattsmouth city limits, November sales were up 9.2% to $3,910,348.
(The October ’12 report had Cass County with an 8% sales decrease and Plattsmouth with a 5.4% increase over a year earlier.)
Statewide, November 2012 taxable sales were 5.9% higher than in 2011.

Nearby cities: Ashland [-0.9%], Bellevue [+0.3%], Nebraska City [-2.4%], Papillion [+31.7%], Springfield [-1.9%] and Syracuse [unchanged].
---The NDR’s November Net Taxable Motor Vehicle Sales Report said Cass County posted a 2.1% increase when compared to the same month in 2011. Taxable motor vehicle sales totaled $4,389,568.
Statewide vehicle sales were up 7.5%.
