Seven years ago it was his work truck and commercial lawnmowers. This time thieves swiped snow blowers and $30,000 worth of tools from Jordan Wrieth and his Complete Grounds Care company.

Wrieth says he's "suspicious" about why his was the only unit hit at the storage facility where he rented a unit near 84th & Park Drive in Ralston. "None of the other units were hit and there was a lock on mine," said Wrieth. "Maybe somebody saw us unload all of our equipment and just picked their spot."

Wrieth learned that his power equipment made him a target in that burglary 7 years ago. "I have insurance so it' not as bad as it could have been," Wrieth said in a telephone interview.

Anyone who rents from storage units might want to follow that lead. Over the past five weeks at least three different storage facilities have had renters report burglaries.
