Wednesday, the "Terry for Congress" campaign announced raising nearly $1.4 million for the re-election of Rep. Lee Terry.
The campaign boasts more than $762,000 on hand. According to the Federal Election Commission, 67% of that money came from political action committees (PACs).
Rep. Terry is far and away the fundraising leader in the race.
As of the end of March, primary challenger Dan Frei reported roughly $19,000 on hand. The Omaha businessman has not collected any PAC money. According to the FEC, he did put $10,000 into the race.
Democratic candidate state Senator Brad Ashford reports $74,000 on hand - $9,000 coming from PACs. Ashford is uncontested in the May primary.
