Construction crews were out in force along one of Omaha's busiest streets Monday. Their resurfacing project on Dodge Street will last 8 weeks, limiting traffic to one way in each direction.
Around 5 p.m. traffic was heavy near the beginning of the resurfacing at Turner Boulevard. It slowed down around 6 p.m., but was definitely heavier than usually. The main problem is seen when sitting at lights. Because there is only one lane, lines are longer, taking more time to get through a traffic light.
The project will take place between Turner Blvd. and 52nd street. Expect delays or plan to take an alternate route.
The project is expected to last eight weeks.
