Despite a national increase, Omaha's gas prices have not moved in the past week.

Analysts at say fuel prices in Omaha have stayed at $3.57 per gallon in the past week. That's as the national average for unleaded fuel increased 3.2 cents per gallon, now sitting at $3.68 per gallon.

However, local gas prices are still higher than they were one year ago. Analysts at say the local average is 3.5 cents per gallon higher than it was in 2012. It's 18.2 cents per gallon higher than it was just a month ago. Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says prices are staying high nationally because of high demand coupled with rising oil prices.

"While the worst may be behind us, I do believe the week ahead will likely feature another rise in the national average," DeHaan says.
