Red Oak High School is currently on lock down after a note was received that alleged someone may hurt themselves or others with a weapon.
Superintendent Terry Schmidt tells Channel 6 News that the email was sent to a printer from a wireless computer from an unknown person.
The email came in after 1st period. The sender expressed unhappiness with a relationship and made threats to harm themselves and others.
Schmidt says any threat is taken seriously and investigated right away, so the Red Oak Police department was called in and the school went into lock down. Students and teachers were asked to remain in classrooms.
A search of the school did not turn up any weapons. Schmidt expected the lock down to end around 1:30 p.m., however police will remain at the school until the end of the day.
Schmidt hopes to identify the sender of the email to get them the appropriate help they need.
