The outpouring of support for the families impacted by Superstorm Sandy has been extraordinary.
38 Red Cross staff and volunteers from the Nebraska/SW Iowa Region are currently working alongside over 5,800 disaster responders from all over the United States to provide emergency relief.
Many local people have been moved to find out how they can be ready to join the next disaster response, where ever and when ever it happens next.
The American Red Cross will be hosting two volunteer orientation sessions for anyone interested in learning about how they can train to help during future disasters ranging from local house fires to major relief responses like the one going on right now for Superstorm Sandy.
We will also discuss other volunteer opportunities in administration, service to Armed Forces, and more.
