This weekend's weather is bringing record-breaking numbers to the Cox Classic Golf Tournament.
The Cox Classic was in full swing and the crowds were out Sunday morning supporting some of the best golfers hoping to take the next step to the PGA Tour.
In fact, the Cox Classic organizers say they saw record numbers for attendance on Saturday and expect to have a record setting day on Sunday once the numbers are totaled. Organizers say they kept their eyes on long-term forecasts and hoped it would turn out this way.
"We ran out of parking space and we had to add some more shuttles so that's a first for us,” said Chad Mardesen, Cox Classic tournament director. "We've all been cooped up in our houses and air conditioning for so long, just a little break in the weather, we all think that it's fall and we're going to go out and have some fun."
Last year, more than 113,000 people attended the event.
