"For sale" signs are still going up, but in the Heartland, they're coming down faster.
Bill Black is an Omaha realtor. He says now actually couldn't be a better time to sell, especially when compared to previous years. He says home sales are up 15% from this July to the last, and not only are there fewer homes on the market, but they're selling for more too.
"My sister lives in a neighborhood south of approximately 126nd and Q streets and her house sold in approximately two weeks," said Dave Norlen.
Norlen just hopes he's next. He's been trying to get a home off the market for five weeks.
Although realtors say the market is picking up, it is changing. They say people want smaller homes, for less money.
