Push Addresses the Homeless and the Hungry

If you drive past Crossroads Mall, you're being urged to just can it!

Through Friday, UNO’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity is raising awareness of homelessness by sleeping outside in cardboard box homes. At the same time, members are collecting donations for the Salvation Army's food pantry.

Tanner Woslager said, "At this stage it is easy to forget how easy you have it compared to others and how hard they have it. Sleeping out here in these cardboard boxes, we are raising homelessness awareness. It gives you a perspective on things. It helps you appreciate what you have. Really giving back now, leads to a path of future giving."

Weights are being used to keep the boxes from blowing away in the high winds.
