A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for eastern Johnson, northwestern Nemaha and southern Otoe counties in Nebraska until 3:15 p.m. Sunday. A tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday for southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, including Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln.

Suspect On The Loose After Pursuit
Early Tuesday morning, Omaha Police found the car the suspect had been driving; it was left, abandoned at 20th and Castelar. However, police say, it was the Iowa State Patrol who had been chasing the suspect from Council Bluffs to the streets of South Omaha.
Jessica Medina lives just down the street. “We don't need any guy like that on the streets," Medina said. "You know, we need the streets good, ya know, for the kids, not even for us, for the kids.”
Police searched the area, but so far have not been able to find the man. They aren't sure if the suspect is armed. They do say he abandoned a gun sometime during the chase.
