Hundreds gathered to celebrate Halloween with their four-legged friends Sunday afternoon during the fourth annual Pug-o-ween at the at the National Guard Armory.
It’s Pug Partners of Nebraska's biggest fundraiser of the year. The event included pug races, a costume contest, a dog friendly photo booth and a kissing booth.
Jessica Ellis, an organizer, said last year the event raised $8,000 and it all goes towards a good cause. “We rescue them and provide them with all the veterinary things that they need. So we use the money from this fundraiser to pay for that."
Participants could also bid on pet-friendly items in a silent auction or even give a pug a new home through adoption. Organizers hope this year's Pug-o-ween will raise $10,000.
