Protection order violation leads to arrest.
Scott Tingelhoff, Saunders County Attorney, reports Donald Arney was charged with Violation of a Protection Order, a class II Misdemeanor, which has a maximum sentence of 6 months imprisonment; and Attempted 2nd Degree Assault-Reckless, a class III Felony, which has a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment. He is scheduled to appear in the Saunders County Court for Preliminary Hearing on May 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
On January 26, 2014, an officer with the Wahoo Police Department received a report of a protection order violation. When the officer arrived the victim reported that Arney tried to run him off the road the day before and was threatening him.
