Keep Your Vehicle Ready For Snow

A Monday morning snowstorm could impact commutes to and from work. Budgeting a few minutes for preparing your car for the snow, could make driving less of a headache.

On Sunday afternoon, at an Omaha gas station, people were making sure their cars are ready for the impending snow storm on monday morning. Something as simple as making sure your car has windshield washer fluid could ultimately affect your visibility on the road.

"There's nothing worse than being out in the snow and hitting that button and no washer fluid comes out," said Jim Champion with Charlie Graham Body & Service. "Go fill it up."

As long as your car is cool, you can also fill-up on anti-freeze.

"Not only can the engine overheat because you don't have enough anti-freeze in there, but the car isn't going to warm up properly," said Champion.

Champion also recommends warming up your car for five minutes in cold weather before driving it. However, it's important to remember to not leave your vehicle unattended.
