A metro family is getting much needed support after a loved one's death.
On Wednesday, a group that calls themselves the “First Responders” gathered at 34th and Curtis in Omaha. They led the family through prayers, remembering Johnny “OJ” Reed.
“This is a time of grief for them," said Pastor Bruce Williams. "They are hurt and they need comfort and what they need is people that are going to come and support them.”
Reed was found dead inside his house earlier this week. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
